Toowoomba, here we come. I work part time for My Other Mum Training College and they have invited me to attend their office in Toowoomba to blend my role as a trainer/counsellor with them and my recycling art work through The Junk Wave.
I will be facilitating a training in Toowoomba on the 17th of February, 2011. Morning session is on the Early Years Learning Framework (the EYLF professional development is$25.00 and open to all early childhood centers in the Toowoomba area) and afternoon is a Smart Art workshop where you get to make something from junk. The Smart Art Workshop is open to anyone in the Community Services: early childhood, schools, Disability, Youth Work, Aged Care, foster carers, etc.
The Smart Art workshop is FREE. You need to bring an empty milk bottle and a pair of scissors though. We are going to make an animal from a milk bottle. Paint, glues and recycled embellishments are supplied.
I will have Smart Art project sheets for you to take away and I will have a small amount of junk for sale. Our junk is all clean and packaged, ready for the collage and art trolley.
Download the Smart Art in Toowoomba Flier here so you know when, where and how to book a limited position. My Other Mum Training College is sending invitations to all early childhood centers in the area so more information is on the way. Did you know that My Other Mum also offers nationally recognised training in Youth Work, Education Support, Child Care, Community Services, Disability, Aged Care, Health and Fitness, Business…..they just keep getting bigger and better! Congratulations to them for being truly green and sustainable in their training models too – flexible training packages (study from home) across Australia is a smart way to go. My Other Mum rocks!
