beadsLearn how to make recycled paper beads in a two-hour workshop: Walk away with your own beads to string and wear (more information about recycled craft workshop here)

Recycled craft materials all supplied. You just bring your fashion eye for the in colours that match your wardrobe and Megan Bayliss will teach you how to make beads that are strong and ecologically friendly.

When: Sat, 2nd of February, 10 – 12.

Where: Uniting Care Community’s Mooroobool Community Support Service, 2 Rambutan Close, Manunda (off Moody Street).

Who for: YOU. Suitable for adults and kids over eight years old.

How much: $25.00 per person. Loyalty bonus ($5.00 off) available for returning workshop participants and for those who book in and pay for more people than themselves.

* Returning workshop participants (someone who has done a previous recycled craft workshop through The Junk Wave) get a 10% loyalty discount. If you bring a new friend (someone who hasn’t done our workshops before) you get another 10% off. This means a 20% loyalty discount to YOU.

  • Bag weaving master class. Sat October 27 at Boonah Organisation for a Sustainable Shire (BOSS). Cost: $60.00 per person. Book in and pay with a friend or relative (children 10+) and EACH get $10.00 off the cost of the ticket.What’s included: Tuition, Starter kit, morning tea and lunch. A master-class takes you through all the stages of the bag making. You will not get a complete bag made but you will see me show each stage AND you will get your own bag started.   • Sat 21 July, Make butterflies from the tops and bottoms of plastic milk bottles. 10-12. $20.00. Suitable for children 8+ accompanied by an adult. 10 only spots,/del>
  • Sat 28th July, Make bangles from plastic drink bottles and upholstery scraps. 10-12. $20.00. Suitable for children 8+ accompanied by an adult. 10 only spots
  • Sat Aug 11, Bowls and Bows from magazines. 9.30-12.30. $30.00. Suitable for children 8+ accompanied by an adult. 8 only spots
  • Sat Aug 18, Make beads from paper. 10.00 – 12.00. $20.00. Suitable for children 8+ accompanied by an adult. 10 only spots *
  • Sat Aug 25, Make party favours. 10.00 – 12.00. $20.00. Suitable for children 10+ accompanied by an adult. This was postponed because Megan was unwell.
  • Sat Sept 1, Bag Weaving Master-Class. $50.00. 9.30 – 2.00. Suitable for children 12+ accompanied by an adult. Price includes a starter kit and lunch.

Who for: Professional workers needing a yearly in-service; Parents and carers of children, especially early childhood educators.Not suitable for children to attend.
