Decorated plastic drink bottle baskets ready to have treats put into them for party favours or picnics.
Learn how to make them:...You need a plastic bottle or 10...from little drinks to big drink bottles.
Cut the top off the bottles and discard in to the recycling or craft bin.
Slightly off centre on each side of an imagined centre on opposite sides of the bottle, cut a strip that will become the handle.
Cut away the left over negative space (plastic panels) WITHOUT cutting off the handles!
Staple (or hole punch and tie) the handles together and, voilà, you have a little basket ready to decorate.
Word of warning. Use a low temp glue gun for securing recycled embellishments. The heat of a hot glue gun WILL melt the plastic (as you can see on the warped handle of the decorated Dora basket!). Use what ever recycled embellishments you have available for a sustainable and green party basket.
I think they are beautiful. How about you?
