“Can you teach me how to make this?” is a frequent question when people see us weaving all those colourful plastic packets in public or they see our gorgeous bags.
I can teach you. Me. Megan Bayliss, founder of The Junk Weavers Inc. I will teach you to weave your kitchen plastics: all by video.
Your contribution is merely to join The Junk Weavers Inc and jump into our private members only group. Members get some value adds that the public do not – instructional videos on different aspects of constructing a woven single-use bag: like “How to sew a zip into a woven bag”.
Our private group is on facebook. Members share photos of their projects, talk about ebay deals on dental floss, market stall ideas, pricing and generally act as a supportive and goal oriented community.
I love the community and comradery we are daily developing. I love that Hobart talks to Cairns talks to Bega talks to Ipswich talks to……..
We draw our recycled craft teachers from our membership base. Our teacher consultants use our videos as teaching props in their workshops. A teacher can have a video playing down one end of the room instructing a group of learners while she is at the other end working hands on with students.
How do you get your nose into our “how to” videos? Become a member. It really is that simple. No matter where you are in the world, membership to The Junk Weavers Inc. is a measly $AUD55.00 a financial year.
Fill in our membership application (last page of this doc), deposit your membership investment via direct deposit or paypal, get your application to me and our committee will add you to our private group.
Not on facebook? No problems. We can share our instructional videos with you via dropbox.
Weave kitchen plastics like a pro, all from home and where ever you are in the world (electricity, computer and internet needed).
Keep talking garbage. Mxxxxxxx
